Proof run documentation
For each tri-annual (April, August, December) official proof run, several technical documents are recreated using the latest data.
Proof run publication dates
UK and International bull and cow PTAs will be updated in line with internationally agreed Interbull release dates. The next three official proof runs are:
- Tuesday 12th August 2025
- Tuesday 2nd December 2025
- Tuesday 7th April 2026
Cow results and herd summaries (HGR data) will be available by the Friday after the bull release dates.
Base change
Each year for the April official proof run, the four-year window that we use to calculate each breeds' average is updated. More detail about the base change is in Calculating indexes.

International conversion files
Conversion files present the data obtained through Interbull, and should be used only as an estimate of an animal's genetic merit in the UK. If a bull is marketed in the UK, where possible it should be through official genomic or proven figures.

All conversions - combines all conversions into a dynamic excel to calculate UK proofs.
HOL to FRI conversions - converts between the UK proofs for Holstein and Friesian.

External organisation files
The external organisation files provide bull data in a fixed file format and can be downloaded for each evaluation group.
